Ericsson Globe

Ericsson Globe is a building in Stockholm near Hammarby Sjostad, in Johanneshov.The name is because a comunications company, Ericsson acquired this globe. Is a very bigger White dome, the national indoor arena of Sweden, here most important concerts and performances are held and is also an ice rink for skating competitions. Many celebrities did shows here.

The Ericsson Globe is currently the largest hemispherical building in the world and took two and half years to build. It has 110 metres of diameterand inner haight of 85 metres. The volumen of the building is 605.000 cubic metres and it has a seating capacity of 16.000 spectators for shows and concerts, and 13.850 for ice hockey.

It represents the sun in the Sweden solar system, the world's largest scale model of the solar system.

There is an elevator that goes out of the globe way up from which you can see a view of the city of Stockholm, this elevator go up 130 metres in a travel of 20 minutes. In front of you can see a place where before there were animals slaughterhouses that were now converted into nightclubs and on the sides there are houses also big buildings like churches, there are too a football stadium in one side and an ice rink in the other side.
